    Many people are usually worried when their sites are not accepted by DMOZ directories. Could you, please, share your experience on submitting a website to DMOZ and how long it took for you before it was accepted? Thanks in advance.

    I submitted to dmoz 2 years ago, I site got listed within 2 weeks another has not been added. Fingers crossed though.

    When I submitted my first site to DMOZ it was accepted in a year or so.

    How much time you got?

    Could take days or weeks but most submissions are never added.

    Make sure that you follow their instructions and are submitting a quality site. Repeat this once per month untill your site is listed or you give up.

    i submitted 12 months ago, still nothing, ive heard that if you submit your site again, you go back to the end of the line, so i havent been game enough to try again.

    Took my site about 12 months to be listed. I submitted it about 3 times during that 12 month period.

    In the end it was accepted into a category that was different to my initial submission.

    It seems list approvals depends upon the category and moderator , We applied for mioot.com and got approved in 3 days , But waiting for mioottechnologeis.com for more than 3 years under web designers category.

    Some times approaching the moderator on that category will help , they are approving if the request is valid one
