How to get that first PR

My site have PR 1 after one month of daily fresh content with good on page seo (wp) and only very few DP siggy link ....

do web 2.0 pages (squidoo lenses, hubpages, etc) and link your pages from them

You have to keep in mind that PR won't guarantee you top ranking. There's other factors such as relevant backlinks, quality contents and how did you optimize your site for search engines.
