How to Optimize Permalinks of Your Wordpress Blog

    you dont need to use /%postname%/ with the slashes
    just %postname% is good enough

    I am still using slashes in my wordpress permalink
    can any body help me defferent of with and no using slashes?

    Hey best way is to have category + Post name both , I dont suggest only post name

    Here you go :

    Go to Settings in your Dashboard , Click on permalinks, Under common settings

    Go to custom structure : highlight the bullet and enter /%category%/%postname%/

    Well the reason is , You should use Keywords in Your category, Now you got it WHY category + Post name

    Also take note of slashes .... copy from above, I have pasted it

    Wordpress have custom link update options. You can make links as a website with custom permalinks(/%postname%.html) or (/%postname%.php). This will make your blog url as website. If you would like to improve your blog pages with .html then you can download plugin html on pages.

    If you have blog link structure neat and clean ( there is no special characters) then you can get additional benefits to improve your website easily.
