Free tutorials?

    good point! yea.. nettuts ROCKS! they write really well, and I recommend the PLUS subscription if you do decide to subscribe.

    http://w3schools.com offers INFORMATION.. it's like your dictionary (ultimate backup) if you want a "nice" website, though, nettuts.com, along with psdtuts.com (for your photoshop skills) will improve your CSS, jQuery, PHP, and HTML. And those are the key things you want to master nowadays.. web design has grown past the original "table-layout".

    dansomers brings up a good source.. to be used as backup though.
