Best Wordpress Plugins?

First, I want to thank everyone that recommended to me that the best way to make money by starting a blog is a hosted Wordpress.

I've installed Wordpress on my own site and WOW - this thing is POWERFUL!

I'm overwhelmed by the sheer variety of plugins available. For my searches, there seems to be hundreds of plugins available for what I'm looking for.

I'm hoping someone can recommend to me three types of plugins,
    1) A wordpress plugin that will allow me to host multiple Wordpress blogs on the same server (same IP address, different domain names)

    2) A great AdSense plugin for Wordpress. Something that places the ads in the best places.

    3) A good gallery plugin, where clicking on the photo doesn't bring up a .jpg, but a webpage, with adsense with the full size photo (hey, what's the statue of limitations of posting pics of your really hot ex-gf?)

1 - You do not need a plugin to host multiple Wordpress blogs on the same server. You just create the accounts you want on the server, with the domain names you want, then install wordpress on each account. no plugin required.

2 - In the article or in the theme? You do not need an adsense plugin. With some experience with coding, you can put your ads anywhere you want.

3 - next generation gallery is good. But it lacks a lot of instructions. Besides nextgen gallery, I think there is a bridge for gallery 2 and wordpress. That might be worth checking into. I saw a wordpress blog that was using Gallery 2, and it looked pretty slick.

In regards to the mutlblog thing, try Wordpress MU. It allows you to host multiple blogs, and basically run a blog hosting service.

For Adsense, I recommend the WhyDoWork Adsense Plugin.. as for hosting multiple blogs on the same account, I'm asssuming you mean the same hosting account? Seems you could just have your domains point to different directories on your server.

Hope this helps! I'm glad you're enjoying WordPress, I think the new versions are truly awesome

I just started using WP-Insert, which allows you to copy and paste Adsense code into the setup panel and then it inserts the codes/ads into text where you choose.

AdSense Now! does a similar sort of thing, I just switched to WP-Insert because it can be any code rather than just Adsense.

These "in content" ones seem to generate more revenue than something just on the sidebar.

Nextgen is a great image plugin, but I don't think it will serve your purpose. You may need to just re-direct when they click the image to a new unlisted page with custom ads there. Don't over crowd you site with ads though...sounds like you might be in danger of that.
