    i just upgraded my wp blog from ver 2.70 to ver 2.80 thru my cpanel Fantastico module. i have no problem upgrading all the while thru Fantastico, but for this time after the upgrade, i tried to login wp-admin section and the site cannot be accessible, i do not know what is the problem here? this sucks!

    my blog > http://www.reducecreditdebt.info

    my wp-admin section > http://www.reducecreditdebt.info/wp-admin/

    there is a fatal error shown when i tried to access the wp-admin page.

    also, when i finished upgrading in Fanastico module, there is a message shown >>>

    If you don't have SSH access, ask support to help you:
    - delete all the files listed in /home/erickz/public_html/REDUCECREDITDEBT.INFO/fantastico_fileslist.txt
    - delete /home/erickz/public_html/REDUCECREDITDEBT.INFO/fantastico_fileslist.txt
    - Untar /home/erickz/fantastico_backups/.backup.1245202543.tgz
    - Empty the database erickz_wrdp1
    - Import the file /home/erickz/fantastico_backups//backup.sql into the database erickz_wrdp1
    - Move /home/erickz/fantastico_backups/ to /home/erickz/public_html/REDUCECREDITDEBT.INFO

    i do not know what all these are for? does that mean i have to empty the database and do all the necessary steps as stated? i thought all these are done "automatically" since i use the upgrade thru Fantastico?

    anyone who can help me on this or solve this issue , pls pm me.. either you can do this job for FREE for me :) or the best i can pay is only USD5.

    pls pm me or reply to this thread... thks..

    it was very easy to upgrade from your wp2.7 to 2.8 if you only go to your wpadmin and click the upgrade automatically notification. there was no need to upgrade from fantastico. anyway, do you have the backup of your wp2.7 and its database ? I assumed you have coz it is recommended to do backups before you upgrade.

    thanks all.. i figured out that i will just delete off the plugin folder of "sem google analytics" and see if it works and the wp-admin can be accessible then. LOL..
    next time i will try to save and backed up the database (which i didn't do"
    btw is it advisable to upgrade WP latest version through Fantantisco or thru WP admin area? which is better and safer?

    i tried to change the default logo to my own logo but can't find the html code to change! anyone please help!
    normally it is just changing the logo name in the css stylesheet, but i don't why and what is the problem with this theme.

    i found the logo name in Stylesheet (style.css), changed the default logo name to my preferred logo name but the site still shows the default theme logo.

    the code as below:

    /*- Logo -*/
    #header h1{
    margin-top:15px;
    background: url(images/reducecreditdebt.png) no-repeat;
    float: left;
    text-indent: -9999px
    }
    #header h1 a{
    display: block;
    height: 80px;
    width: 520px;
    }
    #header h1 a:hover{
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    as shown above, i have already changed my logo name to reducecreditdebt.png, but it is still not visible.

    anyone can advise?

    thks..

    frustrating dabbling with all these coding the whole afternoon.. :mad:

    Are you sure its the correct file name? Linux is case-sensitive. If you presume that the file name is correct, have you tried checking if you can see the image from the path /images?
    Sample
    http://www.reducecreditdebt.info/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEMENAME/images/reducecreditdebt.png

    If that works then try pasting the whole link to this part:

    background: url(images/reducecreditdebt.png) no-repeat;

    So url section becomes:

    http://www.reducecreditdebt.info/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEMENAME/images/reducecreditdebt.png

    Try it first. Then we'll see how we can make a cleaner approach.

    hi, thanks for helping out. yes, i can see the logo, it's there.

    http://www.reducecreditdebt.info/wp-content/themes/freshnews/images/reducecreditdebt.png

    but, no matter what i do to the logo command code, the default logo is still there! even if the image destination is wrong, it should at least show nothing at the header logo on the site, but currently the default logo shows up regardless of what is inputted in the command field. maybe there is another field or coding or option in the theme that i need to change? but i can't figure where? i look thru the whole editor and can't find...

    for other themes, i always change the logo field at the css stylesheet and everything works fine but not this theme.. puzzles me!

    please see if you can help me on this, greatly appreciated :)

    This code here you show:

    #header h1{
    margin-top:15px;
    background: url(images/reducecreditdebt.png) no-repeat;
    float: left;
    text-indent: -9999px
    }

    Is the rules for the h1 tags in the header div and not for the main site logo.

    That is rule for just the background for behind the <h1> areas, you will probably find the code for the actual main site logo in the header.php file.

    Or in a different css rule?
