I have clarified it several times that it takes time to get approval at first place at free directories. Every day these directories receive numerous free submits, thus the number of pending links increases each day.Webmasters of the these directories do approve links according to their convenience. It also depends on the quality of your site. You should not expect a "big increase in Back-links" within a short period of time. It's a slow process to get approved and then crawled and indexed.The Manual submitters have "No Control" over when the link will be approved and the same goes with your links being indexed.Web directories are not crawled as frequently as blogs or other CMS. As a webmaster, I believe it is not so difficult to understand these things. Probably you need to rethink as to what to expect from directory submission service.

Hi all,

I regularly build a cluster of websites on a theme (similar to the butterfly method) and other than carrying out social book marking and writing a few articles that are submitted to Ezinerticles, which I do myself. I actually outsource the directory submission to MM. I have used other services and although not at all bad they could not price match MM.

Regarding results, well 2 of my sites that I started around January went straight to PR3 on there first PR update which I believe was around 3 months since I started the site.

Initially I was concerned that the links were not showing up in webmaster tools. I therefore did quite a bit of research on this and believe this to be the volume of sites that are submitted to directories as well as the indexing rate at which google actually chooses to crawl the inner pages of the directories.

One thing to bear in mind with directory submissions is that some directories may be classed as a bad link neighborhood. To get around this I find submitting only to directories that have PR really helps.

Also I have learnt from past experience that it is always best to submit a site when it has been fully completed as you will have more chance of being accepted by the directories.

If it helps both sites are ranking on page 1 for their chosen keyword, one of which has competition of approximately 2,000,000, that site also now has an Alexa ranking of 350,000.

To summerise. I would recommend making sure your site is completely built and then outsource the directory submission, followed by posting a few articles and social book marking the top 100 sites, this should not take too long so you should be able to do it yourself..

Hi folks,

Mobile-Monster's just finished his first job for me for 2 sites and I have to say I'm really impressed.

The report has all the directories listed with their PR and on checking a few I can see the sites I gave him to submit have already appeared in some of them.

I really like the fact he creates a "submit email address" for you and then does that horrible job of clicking all those confirmation emails...
