I am looking for a web host that offers SSH Access with servers located in the United Kingdom or Canada. Why do I need SSH Access? I need to access a certain "https" website that has country based restriction. I will be using Putty to make a SSH Tunnel/Port Forwarding Will I be doing anything illegal such as Warez, Cracks, P2P etc? No! How much Bandwidth do I need? Not more than 250 MB per month How much space do I need? None! I only need ssh access but if you're generous, I could always use a 1MB or 5MB of space What is my budget? Max. $3 per month per IP Why is my budget so low? I think $3 per month is quite reasonable considering that I will only be using it to do normal web browsing. I am not interested in buying a socks5 proxy that has an estimated lifespan of 1~24 hours. I need a web host that offers private ssh access with 99%+ uptime. UPDATE: I've already bought a UK shell account @ Gridstar.net that fits perfectly with my budget. Now all I need is a shell account in Canada
Good Luck with your new UK host. Make sure you write up a review after you have had experience with their billing/tech/services for a month or two.
I've been using the UK server from Gridstar.net and so far the experience has been very good Had a few problems with the billing system time sync but the problem was solved within a few hours after I submitted a ticket. Overall, the support team answers my questions within 24 hours. Now I can listen to Pandora
