Hey guys. A few days back I posted my site, you guys gave me suggestions and helped me make my site look better. I even converted all my pages to .php so i could take advantage of externally loading forms and stuff. But now i'm back, and I want your new second opinion. Has my site improved? And if you haven't seen the old one, just tell me whether you like the new one. Thanks, the guys/gals at digitalpoint are so helpful Pithdog. Link is www.tptcomics.com
Pithdog, dont bump your thread, be patient for people to reply. I would position your adsense better on the rightside, theres currently more ads than content on your site, your taking chances with adsense to be honest. Color wise, i prefer lighter backgrounds. Why are you naming the div for one of the google ads shittyad ?
Sorry about the "Shittyad" div box. Was annoyed at the div box not working, renamed it shittyad, and then forgot about it not working. Although it should only show up if someone looks at my source code?
hi, I cannot see your logo properly. I think you should work on a new one or try to make this one stand out more.
Didn't see the old site, but a few thoughts on this one... Initial impression - needs a lot of work. Header - Logo skewed way too far horizontally, cannot read text; ads in header are a no-no, I would take those out altogether, header needlessly tall, I'd shrink it by at least 50px Navigation - Red on Black hard to read, drop-down navs confusing - maybe consider using a DHTML drop-down menu or something, or at least style these so they aren't stark white on black Left Column (Main Content Area) - Article title/footer links would look much better aligned left than centered; on Content pages (Scrawls) rating stars appear under Google ads instead of as part of the article - its like a star sandwich & ads are the bread - distracting IMO Right Column - Put something in here besides just more Google Ads, maybe the 'odd man out' submit a site & privacy policy links from your header as buttons or something. Center Google ads or shrink width of the right column so they fit better. Footer - Tie it all together by putting something under your footer ad that reaffirms your branding: copyright, privacy policy, etc. Hope this helps!
