Which one? Awstats or Google Analytics?

I personally like Awstats but I've never used GA before.
And when I research about this, everyone agrees that the result difference is huge to even compare.

Which one do people prefer using? Are numbers difference that great?

I also prefer Awstats! because it doest not require any additional code to enter in your pages! it crawls directly from your hosting while Analytics requires so much information to enter! for showing prescribed results

I prefer using GA coz the stat is more accurate and it is more easy to compare with my adsense earning.

Awstats is much better. It pulls stats directly from the server which google analytics does not do. I would see awstats being much more accurate as well.

I prefer Google Products then others. Feels nice, but it seems that the traffic is high than other anlytic tools.

I've never had a problem with google analytics, but after reading this post it looks as if people are saying awstats is easier, I may just have to switch, I get tired of having to imput that damn code, and have some sites without it on because I just haven't gotten around to adding the damn code yet.

Depends on what your site does. If you own a site that doesn't sell anything, offer any tangible products - then AWSTATS should be suffice enough. If you are selling stuff - GA offers far more for you to analyze. You can track conversions (visitors to buyers), test using the Optimizer etc... Both have their advantages.

I vote for Google Analytics. I install it on every site that I have. It's fast and accurate and easy to use.

I have Awstats installed by default because all my sites have their own cPanel...but I never visit it very much unless I think something hokey is going down with my GA account.

I use Google Analytics. The organised information allows me to retrieve relevant stats very quickly. I have not used AWStats though.
