    Hi,
I need to know does it matter if the 100 back link coming from the same domain but different pages,

I mean if i m getting one back link from the domain with my anchor text is same with the one im getting 100 back links from the domain but different pages.and the same anchor text for all pages
how does google see that as 1 backlink or 100?

    Thanks

I just thought I'd share the results of a little experiment I tried out recently regarding the effect of a site-wide link on Google SERPs.

I have access to a site with a lot of trust rank. I placed a "site-wide" nonsensical link to an orphaned page on another domain, and a "single" nonsensical link using the same text to a second, identical, orphaned page on that same other domain.

The single-link page is #1 in the SERPs, and the site-wide-linked page is #2

Conclusion? One link is indeed better...although a case study of 1 is hardly conclusive!

more 100 backlinks coming from different 100 domains has more value than a 100 backlinks coming from a single domain.

Does anyone know if you'll get penalized for linking from many pages on the same site?

Google is a mystery. A friend has a site that has 169 backlinks and 150 of those come from pages of a single site. The last PR Update, that site went to PR 5!!!

Typically the biggest penalty you will ever get for this type of link is that it will be devalued or discounted completely. You will likely never know though.

Ok than what about the forums signatures many people even have more than 10,000 post on DP or on other forums.... so if they have a signature link back to there site that is more than 10,000 from the same domain...
does it mean google going to discount it??
    Regards

DP links are good.. if you have more posts it definitely adds value to your site, some say its a myth that forum signatures are valued, but from my own experience I would say its a false statement, forum signatures definitely have an impact expecially when your post counts increase on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean you can spam your way not on DP for sure moderators here are very strict about it. lol..

you should not keep changing your signatures and i think you if you have 1000s of post than you should not use your new site as signature......i dont know if im right but it may look like a spam to google...just my guess.

yes it doesn't matter but it depeds, for example your backlinks came from a forum like this then you have 2 post on a single thread using one url on your signature. The search engine counts it as 1 backlink.

Every backlink counts, all hundred of the ones you are getting, but they do not count as much as getting 100 votes from 100 unique domains.

It doesn't matter if a Domain gives 1 Link or it give 100 Link Google is the Big G & it counts all the links of the Websites who support them. Hence, just add links & links it will give good results to your website.

this is a tricky subject. I'm going to ruffle some feathers and disagree with a few peoples opinions here. First I will say that yes link diversity is important. 100 links from 1 domain is not nearly as valuable as 1 link from 100 domains. That being said you can get credit for more than one link from a single site. The trick is how you go about it.

First off it it LOOKS like a sitewide link it'll be TREATED like a sidewide link. So.. don't do that. Dont make it a footer link, that is an obvious indicator. Put your links in the content/context/meat of the page. For example lets say your keyword is... Sandwiches. Instead of having a link on every single page of the site in the footer with the anchor "sandwiches" linking to your site about sandwiches, instead find 10-15 pages that mention sandwiches in the content (or make the pages) and link from within the content.

VARY the anchor text a little bit too! Google knows related words so sandwich, sandwiches, hogies, sub-sandwhich can all work. Also try varying where on your site you link to as well. Rather than pointing all those sandwich links to your homepage, points a few to a couple different posts/pages on your site. These deeplinks can hint to google that your site has a theme to it. This will help with relevance and in turn improve your ranking for your keyword/phrase.

Bottom line: There is a big difference between multiple links from a single domain and a sitewide footer. If you do it right multiple links can provide a very good ROI. In contrast, sitewide footers might as well be a single link.

    Hope that helps!
