$50 Flyer Contest - Font Media - Payment via PayPal

Its contest time again...this one is for me rather than for a client so feedback will be speedy (taking into account the time difference... I'm in Sydney).

As with all of my contests I ALWAYS announce a winner, but I very rarely state an end date/time as I like to see what comes through and work with those.

OK so this time I'm after a flyer for my web design business. Its literally just to state what I do rather than any special offers. I'll just be doing a letterbox drop in my local area. I dont want to state prices etc on it because there is a fair bit of competition in my area and that wouldn't be beneficial too me - they'd just undercut me!

"Thanks for your entry - its a little too simple for what I'm after though and not as professional looking as I was hoping for. I like the colours you've used as a website, but for a flyer I dont think they're powerful enough... looking for something far more eye catching."

I would prefer that all entries are posted within the forum, however if you prefer not too thats ok. What I will ask though is that when an entry is coming close to what I'm looking for, it is then included within the thread, making it fair on all the entrants.

"I'd like the contact details need to be a lot more prominent. I'd like them to be able to see my phone number, website address and email address as soon as they look at it... dont want them having to search for it.

I'd rather see an image more related to websites than art, as in the pencils. I know I have paint tubes on my website which kind of contradicts that, but on the flyers I want it to be instantly recognisable that its a Web Design business.

I've been asked for some examples of images I'd like on the flyer... these are just to give you an idea of what I believe would steer the 'viewer' into noting that this business is related to websites instantly... which is my main aim. Would you also be able to put them at an angle maybe? So that you're getting a sort of side view?

I've uploaded a better version of the logo - just enlarging some of the fonts and I've slightly changed the blue/green colour... colours not such a big deal but the larger font is definitely needed:

Could you change 'Budget Prices' to 'Affordable Prices' please... think that would sound better.

Also could you incorporate this (these are all edits I've added to the thread which you've obviously missed while you've been designing):

I'm not sure what I think about the paint brushes... would prefer something more linked to websites I think... although you do have the screen shots so maybe that covers it?? Not too sure on that.

Thanks renderwork... nice to see something different from the others I've received, which have all had either very light, or white backgrounds.

I think this looks a bit busy though and your eye isnt really drawn to one particular part of the leaflet.

I'm not keen on the white paint blot in the centre... looks a bit out of place I think with all the fancy stuff attached to it.

I quite like the idea of the 10% discount voucher... great marketing. That way I dont have to quote prices, but the customer feels they're still getting a good deal... nice.

I would like some images on there which indicate instantly that its a web design company.

Thanks for your work... really appreciate it and like I say its good to see something a little bit different. This isnt necessarily what I'm looking for but I definitely believe you've got the know-how to come up with it

I like the colour, like the background image, but I'm not too keen on the rest of it I'm sorry. The '@' is extremely dominating and theres no real design at all to the remainder of it - nothing draws you to a certain line of text etc... its just like one long story... sorry.

Colour is definitely good though.
