I have never done article writing for less than $5 per article. So I go to several free lancer sites ....... ( I have been in college for the last nine months and have not even attempted to write anything.) So how could it have changed....right?

NO prices are now going for anywhere from $1 to $1.50 an article for 500 words.

This is a JOKE!!! The average for a good writer used to be $10 per article

All I have to say is something that is bid for less than 5 dollars can not possibly be of great value!!

A very great article that has been engineered for maximum effect usually takes an hour to research and then write.

I don't know about you guys but I am worth more than $1 an hour. Heck....My dog is worth more than $1 per hour.

What is your take on it??????

 

cant say because after currency conversion the value of $1 is different for each country.

Anyway it's olso becouse of the competition from countries like India Pakistand Philipiness ..

There's no point in competing on PRICE as people from underdeveloped countries will always have an edge on that front.

I feel the need of hour is to sell on VALUE front.

People should understand the principle that if you pay peanuts, you will get only monkeys.

It'd pay in the long term not to be pennywise and poundfoolish ( unless and untill the outsourced company can bring really solid value proposition.)

 

If you are compare the market on your country then it is low. However, by considering the world wise, there are some country will very low cost such as india. The reason is the living standard are different, $1 can not buy you a meal in your country but in india can, that make the different. And some of them are providing good article too

 

I have serious doubts about your last sentence, if you look at some of the cheap offers in bst it's obvious that it's generally people who clearly have English as a second or third language providing cheap filler content for people who understand even less Englsih.

 

It's just the effect of globalization. Competition is getting fiercer as people are outsourcing more. Yes I also remembered the day when Associated Content would give you $5 or even $7 for a piece of article, now if it's not in the hot niche, you will get $2 if you are lucky.

 

The full business model sucks because most common way to get money from articles is to run Google Adsense in your site. But earnings per click are now in pennies and click thru rates below 1%. So articles does not make money to their publishers so how they can pay writers?

 

IMO,this is a good sign of market force.
There are nobody force you to sell your article at $1.
You can sell your article at $5,and people will buy from you if they think its worth for it.

People from other countries can offer outrageous prices but in the end you actually do get what you pay for as most of these people do not have the proper writing skills as English is not their main language.

 

If they are better providing better than you for that cheap price, Why would anyone return to you ?

Mate.. there are clients who are still looking for quality.. they are even ready to pay 12-13$ per article.. All they need is quality..

 

I ordering about 100+ artiles per day for about a year. The average price are 1,25 per 500 words. In the begining it was really hard to find good writers but in about 3 month it goes to an end. So now I working with about 40 writer and I completely sutisfied with the quality.

Why I have to pay more for the same????

 

If you are satisfied with the low quality content you are receiving, then so be it, but I don't see how you can be making money off that content. If you wish to make more money off your content, you have to pay more. That's what we higher quality writers are here for.

One thing for sure indians dominate at DP and we all know they work very cheap
