I started flying RC Helicopters about a month ago and now I am hooked. I've got 2 and I've just ordered another. Anyone else here into flying them?
Ordered one just yesterday from ebay. Should be able to get it in a couple of days, really excited ^_^
You don't flu an RC helicopter you control it You fly a real helicopter ... I don't have such devices i consider them toys .. and toys are for kids ...
A friend of mine showed me one of those dirt cheap remote helicopters that you can get on ebay for like $50. Problem is that they're so damn sensitive that it's almost impossible to keep it flying straight and it just spins and crashes all the time. You really loose interest after about 10 minutes. Now, I haven't yet tried one of the more expensive models. I guess they may be better and more fun.
I' ve crashed mine a few times and I nearly gave up, but fixed it up and then bought a cheaper 4 channel model to practise with. I also practise using Clearview on my PC which I actually find harder to fly than the real thing.
Dude, that doesn't count. That was my first helicopter (Dragonfly). It is only 2 channel, so all it does is go up and down and turns the tail. Co-axial helis are OK, but too easy to fly and was too slow in forward flight.
Controlling a toy helicopter through remote may be exciting but you will feel the thrill when you go airborne, perhaps controlling the copter yourself. You will feel the rush of adrenaline when you do it for the first time...
Been there and done that. But if it is not your job then it can become very expensive. RC helis are a challenge and provide great thrills at a fraction of the cost. Hell, all your equipment will cost less than an hours flight in a real heli.
I've got a few micro (2 ch) indoor RC helis. My brain simply isn't built for flying helicopters. I'm more into RC planes and RC aerial photography Welcome to the wonderful world of throwing money at RC toys! Next you'll have to get a video camera for it
Actally i have seen ppl flyiing the expensive ones why i say expensive coz those were very high frequency Wondering how much they cost
