I have a gaming forum and am starting to try and rank high in search terms such as "The Grinder" (upcoming games). I'm going to comment on do-follow blogs and was wondering which would be better, to comment on lower PR blogs that are in the same niche as my site (not many high PR, do-follow gaming blogs) or higher PR blogs that are not related to mine in any way. My goal is not exactly to get traffic from these links, just to use anchor text in my links to increase my search placement, since there isn't currently a lot of competition in these terms now but they will be highly searched in the future (when the games are released or getting closer to release). I know I probably could have said that in a lot fewer words, but I think I got my point across. Which blogs would you say are better to comment on?
Blog comment links are pretty low quality even if they are followed so you're better to at least be commenting on relevant blogs (related to your site). That way you will also get potential traffic from clickthroughs, in addition to the small anchor text value of the backlink.
use any blogs - if you see relevancy then you may lose many links.LINKS ARE GOLD.dont lose them.Get all links but with anchor text variations.That would be great.

Also the page rank of particular page get devalued when the post goes inside and overlapped by newer posts.
I tried it, it gives me less potential blogs.. It's relevancy that counts, so if I were you, I would focus on your niche rather than random blogs, although it, as usual, any link is a link, so never miss an opportunity to get one.
People, could you tell me it is allowed to use the name of the company instead of Login name when I post blog comments? Is it Anchor Text my login?
u can use any name, names can be your keywords also except that few blogs dont allow it but majority dont mind as long as your comment is appropriate and stays on topic.

No problem dear.. keep blogging. Consider theme not low PR. One thing to remember, your comments must be original in write. Not copy and paste method comment. That con be counted in spamming.
