Thanks Jamoka I know it works and I know it takes a little time. Perhaps my timeframe for this is a little narrow. However, there is a little bit more to it that you suggest. a. What niche to target. I want simple steps to find the most profitable targets etc. b. Content - where to find good content and what to avoid. How many pages do I need to write for optimum results? Should I import rss feeds as well as own content. Should I do article spinning etc? c. Promotion and link-building. Need legal shortcuts. Ways to automate etc. I basically want someone to handhold me through the process for one blog. Realistically, how many hours work do you think is needed before a blog is ready to make €10 per day?
Mmmm... If I told you right now what niche to target and the content to use, and the promotion needed it would be sensless. There is no magic way to do it. That's why not all are living from internet. Settle down. Start to read, a lot, and then keep reading, learning, more reading. And when you are very tired of reading and learning. Rest just a littlebit and start again. You can take this as a joke, or a wisely advise. (Option 2 would bring you more money )
Earning 10 bucks a day (I think this is the first milestone) is very easy. All you need it to choose a method. Like do you have money to invest? If not this rules out most things because affiliate marketing or creating your own product really only works if you have funds to advertise with. If affiliate marketing is your method of choice then head over to the clickbank marketplace and you will find products to promote. With no money you are looking at something basic like maybe Adsense whereby you place ads on your site and get paid per click. Driving your traffic would then probably need to come through link building.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. I just always prefer mentoring or coaching to going out and reading stuff myself. I've read lots and I know the basics of lots of methods - just looking for someone to give me a roadmap and a plan.
