Bing is still behind Google and Yahoo, but my stats have shown a lot of traffic coming from this new search engine. Any source of traffic is good news, but it is particularly good when a newbie search engine is among those bringing people my way.

What's more, Bing is enjoyable to use and not some failed search engine like Cuil.

I definitely think Microsoft has made some significant improvements to their search results. I personally like Bing search better than Yahoo - more relevant results. If Yahoo didn't have email or news article, they'd be number 3 for search.

Here's my latest blog post regarding the topic: http://www.liveambitions.com/google/search-engine-wars/

Google doesn't have to worry about either Yahoo or Bing. However, it is good to see that Microsoft has a relevant player in the mix, a search engine that returns decent results while sending good traffic our way.

I think Microsoft is going to license Wolfram|Alpha. Wolfram|Alpha does not have a business plan on it's own. They just built it to license to other search engines.

Completely agreed! If their branding campaign works, work out a deal with all the browsers, apart from firefox, to set bing as the default SE they could steal a lot of the market share from google.

This kind of article will appear when they are a new search engine. Eventhrough Microsoft are only expect to get 8% of the market, still far from yahoo which is about 18%
