Exactly, tried this method when I was a newbie ages ago and found it's not the best way to introduce your site to Google.

I dunno why you guys have problems getting indexed. Every time I wanted to get indexed i just gave a link from one domain to another and in 3 days MAX the domain was fully indexed. Don't forget to use Google Webmaster Tools too..

Geekos, a lot of the links will say "no data for this site" that doesn't mean it didn't work, it just means it wasn't indexed yet or that site hadn't found it. Now that you pulled up your site thru one of these links the website saying "no data" will soon show data. Go check it in a couple of days and it will be there.

This is just a quick way to get indexed fast. It's basically the same as adding a link to your site from other sites you have, except this will come from different IP's and will be better than just a big daisy link chain of sites you own on one server.

roseplant - this isn't a method to increase your google PR. This is a way to take a brand new site and in under a minute get it out into the web where it will be "indexed" by search engines. As others have noticed on sites that aren't new this can still help to get you indexed in a search engine you might not have been in before.

Once your website is indexed by a search engine that search engine will include it in search results. The better your content and the more seo work you do to build links is what will propel you from then on.

Most all of these 20 sites will display some sort of "site not found" message if you are submitting a brand new site (new to the world). Don't worry, that means it worked. Now the website (like websiteoutlook) knows to go look at your site and then display data the next time it pulls it up.

Also, on most of those sites you'll notice they show the "recently added" sites. This can help you get some traffic.

Moral of the story is that this is one method you can use to give your websites a little jumpstart.

This will also index you in more search engines than you will get just by adding your sitemap in teh webmaster tool section on your google account. You should still do that because google probaby likes it.
