ok this is the second post of a similar nature which looks to me a little bit like spam

anyway, yes article submission can increase your page rank, you need to have informative articles that people will enjoy reading so they will be replicated on as many sites as possible. If you don't have anything informative then the chances are no one will even read your article

I think article submissions help serp's more than pr. The reason is that article submissions result in a lot of links, but almost all of them are PR0.

Sure. Backlinks from article directories will increase your PR and boost your SERP.
In fact any dofollow backlinks will increase your PR. PR is based on the number & quality of your backlinks.

Article submission do help to increase PR. How much help? It depends on the quality of article directories where site is submitted and also it depends on the PR that each article gets itself.

I tested this out. I had one blog where the only seo I did was article submission. It took about 4-5 months, but I finally got a PR 3 out of it. So it does work, it just takes consistency and time.

Submitting articles with targeted anchored text to credible sites will help seo for backlinks - hence eventual pr, as well as the serps. The quality of the directory is key though.

I agree - why worry about PR? - what you should worry about is traffic, and yes a good article with good information for the reader will send traffic to your site. The more high quality articles you post the more traffic you will get.

Links from article submission are counted as one-way links. Having said, they can contribute in boosting a site pagerank.

Yes they will increase your PR but don't focus on PR by churning out as many articles as you can. Rather focus on the quality of your articles. In the long run the quality of your work is what is going to set you apart from your competition.
