    Hi

Internet Marketing is FAST money - but I'M getting a bit tired of people not planning it better. A lot of great ideas wasted for the wrong reasons.

    Just to get you started...
Use the key word approach (who, what, where, when, why, how, how much) to summarize the following:

    - Your Company (who, what, where, when).
    - Who your management is and What their strengths are.
    - What your objectives are and Why you will be successful.
    - Who is the ideal customer (and why not create your business around that).

Excellent post, and I agree too many people don't plan things out enough. I've been guilty of it myself.

I think the problem of most internet marketers is that they want FAST money, but they are not serious about what they do and don't consider themselves entrepreneurs. Like a normal business offline, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Yes, planning's super important to any business venture where you'd like to see even a small amount of longevity. For Vday300 we probably overplan, but that's only if you believe in such a thing! :)

I generally jump between projects when I have to wait any length of time for another project. The goal of that behavior is simply to make sure I maximize my time. Such as right now there's not much that I can do while winding down for bed, so it's a great time to socialize here on DP!

One crucial thing that I believe helps a business plan is a simple question of, "How do we want our customers to remember us?"

I know that, in terms of repeat customers, getting them to remember you is a huge key to success. Most people only have a certain amount of 'memory' they're going to reserve for businesses that they want buy from again. If you can make the experience they're going to have with you 'iconic' then it's going to be quicker and easier for them to recall. People (or even animals) are going to take the route that requires the least amount of effort each time. That's why I'm saying that if you plan out the way you need to be remembered by your user/client/customer you'll be able to not just grab the initial people who show up to do business, but keep them coming back because you've got their experience with you down to a fine art. :)

    Just my thought on that!

Planning, efficient use of time, very important. I have a strict four hour schedule where I do all the tedious, must-do jobs. I consider myself to be "on the clock" during these four hours. I know it's not going to last forever, so I try to be as productive as possible. After I'd put in my four hours, I'm "off the clock", which comes down to research for hours, or sorting out downloads, or posting more content. I can also revisit the forums and social bookmark sites, but this time it's more laid-back. Hopefully I end up doing more, and getting more concrete results.

    Whitehat for the lose.

You gotta take time to set up a business, hire freelancers, web design, SEO (this is a pain in the a$$), content, etc. In the end, you might get nothing back.

    Blackhat for the win.

Easy money, very little setup, no plan at all, it's all you, heaps of cash, etc.

downside is that blackhat methods don't last forever, and they aren't residual income.

So what the fuck should you do?

Use blackhat methods to earn $200+ a day. Save your money.
Go to sitepoint and buy some website for $150k, but brings in 6-8k revenue a month. I saw a website going for this price and bringing in that dough.

It's going from blackhat to whitehat.

Yes, we must have plan for internet marketing, most people always thinks internet marketing is a way to get money fast. We must be patient day by day until the money comes, I have built my internet bussines for one year without profit, learn and learn more,.. and now I can get $3000+ a month.

Planning is the key to any minor or great achievement.

In the army we had a saying:

The 6 P's = Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

Would you just wake up one morning and think to yourself "I am going to make a million sterling?"... nope, you'd need a strategic plan in place, plus room for error!

Always remember the 6 P's and apply it to your marketing.

    Cheers
