    Hi,

Due to my recent bad web hosting experience I've decided to write and explain what is reliable web hosting and why you should be careful with who you host your websites.

I've lost my nerves and you should be really warned before you go with your web hosting provider otherwise you might really get in trouble and even loose your website along with all the hard work you've invested because you were cheap and tried to save few dollars.

read here: Reliable Web Hosting Explained

Feel free to comment your own experience here.

    Cheers,
    Venetsian

Yes, exactly! I found so many people to ask me the question why $3-$5 a month web hosting should not be counted as Reliable, and some ask me if development help is included in the price, and others with really really weird questions like "how will my website look if I purchase hosting with you guys".

Ha ha ha .. I guess all other web hosts in this forum are enjoying the same questions.

    Share if you do!

Yes, always choose a stable company who is making some profit so that you are hosted on decent spec hardware.

As if prices are too low, the company won't make any profit and would close down leaving you hanging in mid air

This was a really professional article about web hosting for no techs. Was time to clean up here with all this "want cheap hosting" discussions. Venetsain you are so right. The same issues I have to explain again and again when it comes to pricing. Hope the mates here will listen and stop to throw away their money for cheap services. My experience, not only with hosting but in general: Cheap is always more expensive!

I couldn't agree more, great article! The one thing I frown upon is seeing companies or kids posting unlimited bandwidth/space for $1/month and seeing people sign up only to find out down the road that their site has vanished. Another thing I don't like to much is when people actually request unlimited resources and only have a budget of a buck or two each month. I'm glad we have people like you that want to get the word out to those that don't really know anything about hosting. :)

Not necessarily - we have been in the cheap web hosting filed for 3 years now and our customers are happy with the level of service they receive. Reliability does come with a price however unlimited packages are more unreliable than cheap prices.

It seems I was not really correct. When a web hosting company is really large they can afford to oversell and in the same time have really low prices because (as you all know) the costs for technical support are forming the largest percentage in the overall costs and a small support team can manage few and many servers with pretty much the same efforts.

Honestly, THIS sums it up right here :

Now as conclusion – Reliable Web Hosting is better, but pricier
