All above due to Database Issues. DP forums facing DB issue time to time.

MySQL is underload and caching is affected hence the delay in PM's not updating etc.

This is an issue on DP and has been for a long time....someone, please optimise my.cnf

I can't login as I usually do since Saturday morning. I'm located in India. I have even complained to my internet connection call center and they have no clue.

Every login attempt prompts this reaction:

    Network Timeout

The operation timed out when attempting to contact forums.digitalpoint.com.

The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.

    * Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary failure? Try again later.

    * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.

    * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

    * Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.

    Try again

Even i get to see 1 user as and when I manage to come on using every possible means to log on. Is everyone being able to login because it seems only a handful of us are having this problem from the look of this thread.

If I try to visit a thread I get directed to some other forum location. If I'm looking for a job, I get redirected to the politics and religion forum.

Most of the times I'm the only visitor :)

Worst of all I can't login like every other site.

    Anybody knows what to do?

We've been having database issues which manifest themselves in many ways (trouble connecting, only showing one person online, etc.). We just have to wait it out at the moment. We're aware of the issues. Thanks.
