Geting a Heap Of Traffic To A Page That Doesnt Exist :S

    Hey guys,

    I finally set up google analytics on my blog: http://economiccrisisblog.com and found something really weird.

    In the past 3 days I have received 340 pageviews, but 252 of them have been direct traffic straight to the page /bc/123kah.php - Which doesn't even exist.

    The extra traffic is showing up on my adsense account as well.

    Does anyone have any idea why I am getting this random traffic to a page that doesn't and never has ever existed?

    The adsense stats are from the 404 page being generated. You could check your logs to see where that traffic is coming from - but it's likely bot traffic and not real visitors. You could also do a 301 redirect to send the traffic to a page that exists.

    Check analytics to see where that traffic is coming from. It's possible that someone linked to you with an incorrect/incomplete link.

    I mentioned above that the traffics comes to http://economiccrisisblog.com/bc/123kah.php - which is nothing like anything that is live. The extra visitors are coming from the united states and it is saying that the traffic is "direct" traffic so there is no source.

    I like the idea about the 301 direct to a real page! It's boosting my alexa rating though the roof though :D

    I know this post is old...

    I have been having this same issue not sure what it could be from...

    (just started my site a week ago)

    /bc/123kah.php Pageviews --> 204 25.66%

    I have a feeling that maybe it could be that someone has a malware, or a PHP Web Spider... Did you ever find out what the issue was?
