wordpress is the best blogging platform till date - if you want to start your own blog with own domain and hosting and if now then also you can have wordpress as your blogging platform in wordpress.com

    hope it helps...

Wordpress is best if you install it on your own domain+hosting IMO because you can use so many useful plugins with that as well as you can use your choice theme (lots of available free) ;)

    DON.

IMO, if you can afford to get a domain and hosting i prefer wordpress

But if your starting to do blogging, i highly suggest you try blogger/blogspot first before doing wordpress

If you do blogger, get a cheap domain from godaddy (info domains are $1.99) and use it for your blog instead of blogspot. Best $1.99 you could ever spend and you DON'T need hosting - just a domain.

Wordpress for me. Best if you have your own host, or buy 1.

Will cast my vote for Wordpress as well, but only the self hosted one. Blogger is ok if you want to go cheap, but you should go with WP and have it on your own URL.

You want to self-publish a Wordpress Blog for several reasons but here's just one. Blogger has the right to cancel you at any time. If your blog is important to you then you need to protect it.;)

WordPress. I have tried others, but there is no comparison. The WordPress community is huge and very active in the development of the platform, including themes, plugins, etc.
