I've jsut downloaded Dreamweaver CS4. It looks quite different from the one which I used year before. I'm not getting how to use it. Its not that much friendly as it was previously. :(

Might be better to start with maybe something like Notepad++ still more options in Notepad++ than Notepad for example but if you're like me its still less overwhelming than opening up Dreamweaver and thinking WTF, where do i start? :)

I think that learning the HTML coding part would be better and more useful than using software. They have many sites online that can teach you how.

    Good luck!

Honestly, I hate Dreamweaver and the bulky (often nasty) code that it produces.

In the long term, it's certainly more useful to learn HTML and CSS. You'll be very happy you did.

Tizag.com has some pretty good coding examples to get you started.

hey, i actually taking a web design course. Its very quite simple to set up your own website. Dreamweaver wont be enough. Do you have photoshop? you can create layouts, use notepad++ and convert those images over to HTML where you can ajust settings. I can assist you with more information if you want!

Ugh well... i use notepad++ and dreamweaver. For simple html websites i would preffer dw but i would agree that CS3 was more friendly.
