Just testing the market: I've got a lot great feedback on my new web app: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1356140 The site and app was created by myself and my friend and took around 6 months from raw code to what it is now. It's 100% unique and has a patent pending. The app has been accepted into softpedia and is pending cnet. I had some interest from a dell correspondent when it was listed on the front page of tekw.org and softtonic but the deal never went through. Site stats: Approx 750 uniques a day $100 revenue a month so far (via donations) Absoultely unique website and web app (will sign a non-compete) Will offer free support and hosting to the buyer Unique Layout and unqiue forum skin Vbulletin software and VBSEO At this moment I'm just looking for offers but I'm in no way in a hurry or need to sell, I just want to test the market. Thanks, James
Check My Specs is unique because of it check process, which is more thorough and detailed. It's more visually appealing (graphs, buttons) and social than some others hence it's ease of use and attraction. Also everyone, please post questions related to the thread and not unrelated comments or opinions. Thanks, James
Well then, I would offer $50. Probably worth more, but theirs no proof of income, and the site doesn't appear very popular yet.
If you want proof of income or anything please ask or PM me The app gets over 50 downloads a day, so whether that's popular to you or not that's your view.
True. But on the other hand... your subject is "Unique web app site". So it is informative to other buyers if this is really true. If it is fully unique then this would affect the bidding. I also know 3 freeware sollutions that scan your system and give all kinds of info: - HWinfo 32 - Fresh Diagnose - PC Wizard So the difference, the thing that makes your application unique, is the social sharing of the information.... correct? The advantage of the software above, well at least one, is the regular updates so the software can recognize new hardware too. How is this done in your software? And final, what is the programming language? (source included in the sale I asume?) Anyway, I have a sales-related question for you too: Why are you selling this? Or are you not selling, just getting a feel for the potential?
To answer your first question, I wasn't talking about his comment, I can't edit my origianl thread so I posted it after his post to remind users to post or pm me questions related to the thread and nothing else. Regarding your second question, yes what makes Check My Specs unique is the social sharing / comparing element, which I believe is quite attractive and niche. The programming language is VB Script and .Net Framework. The full rights and source code are included as you'd expect. I've listed it for sale just to test the water and get a feel of the potential.
Yes it's the same site, that was my partner Dan who listed that thread, we were again testing the waters. We have released a new app version since then.
