Recently I have been getting a lot of side jobs....people asking for simple sites made, or they want me to consult them for SEO or PPC. I am doing all this work as a freelancer, and getting the business from friends or friends. First question When someone wants me to make a simple 5-page HTML site for a small business. I would charge these people say $100 for the basic site. What is the best way to charge them for hosting. I currently have one hosting plan that I host my personal sites on. Should I sign up for a reseller account and charge this company yearly for hosting and domain costs? Second What is a good amount to charge some one to manage their PPC ads. Talking about a $100 daily budget. What do you guys usually charge for PPC management. (I am an AdWords Qualified Individual) I have been constantly working and learning, but I started to recieve side jobs and would like some guidance. Any help or tips are appreciated.
Better sign up for a reseller account and charge this company yearly for hosting and domain costs Charge it based on your own rate. I mean you shall estimate how much time you need to spend on the PPC ads managing and charge them based on the time consume.
what are some average prices that you would charge a year for a low-traffic website with a domain name, I need some ball park estimates. I told my friend $100 per year and he thought that was not nearly in the ballpark what are your average prices?
One price doesn't always fit all, unless you're selling a commodity product like carrots or apples. You could be doing yourself out of profit (or over-pricing yourself) unless you account for all the relevant factors that have an effect on your costs. I've recently written a post on my blog that discusses pricing and factors: http://www.simonstapleton.com/wordpress/2009/05/20/freelancer-negotiation-will-you-factor/ Goood Luck! Simon

Yes,this is added service. You should own a server so that you can better manage the account compare to reseller plan.Charge it annually and domain cost. (I am an AdWords Qualified Individual) I hired a expert in adword PPC and he charge me 20% of the total ads campaign.
Not sure on the second, but for the 1st I'd get a VPS or Dedicated for their sites if you've got loads. Means you have complete control and you can stuff it full of sites without worrying about dodgy management. And charge yearly if poss. Some of my customers pay quarterly and it's just a pain!
