If you're using the method to promote an affiliate product or program and your sponsor finds out, they will ban your account.

There are these things called morals and values. Its a couple of the things that makes humans different from animals.

Spam is immoral and it devalues the entire internet.

If there is one thing that we must stand up for - its what we believe in. Its those things that we hold high and value the most that we should not compromise on.

To spam or not to spam....well since spamming is actually illegal I would say don't spam. The days of spamming and making money in affiliate marketing are over as that will get you banned quickly from any network other than maybe clickbank.

if you did business say selling PR domains to one guy ( few guys ) its ok if you again inform them about any new PR domains which is for sale. they will be interested :)

but if u get email list and mail about your sale its not ok ;)

Except, of course, for violating the CAN-SPAM law. Just a Federal offense...no big deal, right? :p

If it's black-hat, don't do it. It will ruin your site. If you use it to promote your own product, your product/website will get a bad reputation. Your product won't sell in my opinion. How often do you buy a product that's offered through spam mail?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought conscious spamming is illegal.

    I wouldn't do that, why?

    Simple

I'm not here to make a quick buck, I'm here to make a living online. I am making a good living online and I intend to keep it that way. If it was some years ago when there were no laws against spam... you could easily get away with it but not now.

If you keep making money from methods like that, you will go down :/

Besides, do you like spam? My guess is NO, NOBODY does. I for one am disgusted by spam. That's why I never spam anyone...

It's been passed a while ago. (2003) CAN-SPAM ACT is actually a serious thing. If you get caught spamming on a large scale they'll throw you prison and fine you at least $10,000...

I think the most someone has been fined to date was $1.3 Million and 5 years in prison.

Here is a Wikipedia link outlining it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN-SPAM_Act_of_2003

If you have half a brain you'd stay away from spamming as from a great white shark...
