Hey everyone, I'm new this whole web scene but I'd love to get involved! A while back I bought some .info domains just for the heck of it and haven't used them for anything. I was hoping some people could maybe give me some tips or advise on what I should do with the websites I have. They don't expire until December of this year, so I might as well use them. They are: 1. adultpartners.info 2. moneycycler.info 3. ebaymaniac.info 4. jbmediaconnections.info 5. jbmedianetwork.info Is there any way I could possibly generate some revenue off these? Any help is deeply appreciated! Thanks!
adultpartners - Blog related to adult relationship's moneycyclyer - Money making blog EbayManiac - Ebay related sales/blog. JBmediaconnections - no idea. jbmedianetwork - no idea.
1. adultpartners.info Make a affiliate site to sell adult toy. 2. moneycycler.info Make a site to demonstrate how money flow. 3. ebaymaniac.info Make a tutorial site about ebay. 4. jbmediaconnections.info Make a social networking site such as friendster. 5. jbmedianetwork.info Make a youtube clone.
Don't do anything serious with them - .info domains are viewed with suspicion because they are mostly a home for spammers. Many corporations ban any incoming emails from .info domains unless they have been manually whitelisted by IT.
True, but who cares if corporations block them? People globally do not. Make a blog, start yourself blogging. Find some articles at article directories and start rewriting them. later you can even hire a rewriter to go on. One more better way is to start a forum and hire postsers. These can come up quick on google. get adbrite ads 'cos forums get a lot more page views so the impressions count in.
Which one would the forums be good for? Lol. Um.. and since GoDaddy has cPanel I should be able to load wordpress easy on it correct? Or is that hard? Like I've said, I'm very new. Thanks for all the help guys! DP's awesome
Better make autoblog of them and later flip them for big cash. Just you need to be more work for traffic.
Yes, but... .info are blocked more often than other domains (except for maybe .biz). That unecessarily restricts your audience. It's better to go with a .com/.net/.org, even if the name is uncommon. First rule of broad-market marketing - Always spread your net as wide as possible.
Find some related products to promote, write an article about that niche and redirect to your affiliate link. I only use my .info domains for redirecting.
I have to agree except not blogs, but proper sites. Although I did start a blog to hold content while I dev my CMS, blogs are really for noobs. Especially WP, no true webmaster would use it seriously. For EbayManiac, if you sell a lot of stuff on eBay the obvious thing would be to set up a redirect or site on the domain to help build a loyal customer base, or affiliate site and such. For the last two, you could do a wide range of things, online newspaper, social network promotion, traffic sites, forum posting etc. (the last one you could even employ your biggest user to manage everything for you -orders, distribution of jobs to members etc.-, while you just take care of payments) If you have money to spare then I'd suggest flipping some of them, by purchasing articles and a bit of promotion, while keeping a couple just to give you more revenue over time, which you could then reinvest and end up with some good sized sites.
One of your JB Media one's you could turn into an affiliate advertising site. You can also have a forum on any of your domains as yoursite.info/forums or forum.yoursite.info Just some other ideas.
You could park them using Adsense for Domains and spam links to them around forums and blogs. You'll probably have a bunch of people who say mean things about you afterwards, but it's not like those people are falling over themselves to be your friend to begin with.
How exactly do you park sites with Adsense? Not saying this is what I want to do, but sounds interesting.
If you're signed up for Adsense already, you go through the "Adsense Setup" tab you would use to create an ad, and then select Adsense for domains from the list there.
