Basically I am setting up a banner ad service on my site that I control. People pay me for running the ads, meaning I cut out the Middle Man Google. My question is what is the best way for me to accept payments from interested buyers. I would never want to use paypal considering people can easily charge back the amount. I have been considering money orders and western union however I don't know if ad buyers would go for that. Please let me know what you think.
Paypal is the best option my friend. I'm pretty sure the buyer has to go through a lengthy dispute process to get their money back. Just get a Paypal debit card and withdraw your money daily if you need access to it right away. And trust me, I get extremely leary of people who only accept Western Union.
Multiple Customers have scammed me numerous times on Paypal. I have lost around $4,000 at this point in Paypal chargebacks over the years from people that simply call their credit card companies and do chargebacks. Thats right, not Paypal, their credit card companies. Paypal is often unable to dispute the charges fully based on the intangible nature of online goods and services.
Don't use Western Union coz the fee is too high. If your client is within your country,ask them to bank transfer the money. I suggest you use swreg.org
Paypal is the best option for me. A lot of other individuals prefer doing transactions through Paypal anyway. Just get a debit card for verification. Just be careful when you do transactions.
You are alsolutely right nicerolex.Paypal is the worst system one can ever use.Anybody can exploit and misuse it. You go for moneybookers & alertpay.They are it's best alternative.There are no charge backs what so ever in both these companies.
If you dont want to send money back to them try google checkout. It charges 0.5-1% instead of the paypal 3% and the costs can be offset with your adwords.
Depending on where you're located Moneybookers might be the best choice for you. I'm in Europe and I don't ever think about changing them with other payment system. Too bad most of the guys here use paypal instead.
