I don't enjoy the internet anymore!

The internet sucks big time! I hate webmaster business and can't stand it anymore!

Every time I visit a website I don't enjoy the content. I just get interested in what the heck it's PR is - what is it's alexa rank, how are they monetizing their website, how are they placing ads.

I don't watch youtube videos (unless they are about webmaster products or tutorials on webmaster business) - I feel like I became addicted to this webmaster thing. All what interests me about websites is money and what I can learn from every website I visit to make more earnings for my own websites.

Do you guys do the same thing? Do you feel what I feel? Do you think that Internet sucks?!

Secondly i like tutorials so i actualy enjoy awesome videos

im the same way, im more educated in different aspects of the web, and i analyze alot more of a website then the average person would.

i dont hate the internet, i love how information-rich it is.

 

I'm sorry my friend, you may quit for a period of time and then return again with more energy.

 

HAHAHA I completely agree with you ...

From a previous REAL LIFE experience, many of my gaming friends decided that it was time and they should stop playing games and enjoy real life and become more socialised ...

2 Weeks later, ALL of them came back and they formed a new group - when I asked why, the replied : We were soo bored and we hated it ... atleast now we can waste our time on several more rounds on this game ...

So that is something completely normal - its like cocaine (ok, that might not be normal) but its addictive, once its consumed you would definately want some more ... and if you do not get it for long time then you finally get it and ENJOY ... XD

To be honest, i was never into this buying/selling/monetizing websites - Im actually a webhost ... I do just about everything you do - like go on sites (but instead of seeing PR and Alexa rank and how they monetize) I actually see how they are getting more costumers in, what their features are, what do they offer that i dont and so on .. It went to the point where the only sites id visit are hosting sites (and ofcourse google to find them). They all gave me ideas and this is how we are sucessful

But to be completely honest, if I had the choice of starting fresh (as a new person to the Internet), I would never be a webhost - mainly because you need to put a lot of time into it, as I am still a University Student - it is very very hard, Specially in the last moment when my phone rings in the middle of a lecture

The Internet has completely changed my personality (i actually do not know what i would have done if there was no PC/ Internet). It actually got to the point where i needed a PDA to help me manage the customers. (I didnt get a PDA thought, a blackberry is much better ) I have MSN installed on to it, so if customers cant reach me on my normal PC Msn, they get me on my blackbeery, and all my email is diverted to my blackberry too....

Youtube ... LOL - i used to watch sooooo many tutorials and things, but not anymore (thanks to the piratebay ) I prefer to download music and just listen to that instead of youtubing

Fortunately, i dont. I still enjoy to visit other people blog, read the content and click on the ads if it is interesting. And i watch youtube, play game, posting at forum(not only webmaster forum). I dont treat myself as webmaster, i still enjoy everything as my first day online.

What you need to do is release yourself from the frame, open your mind and enjoy the internet. Dont just look at the money

Not really. Some sites like youtube and wikipedia are so entertaining it does not bring out the webmaster in me.

I sometimes feel drained from being online all day (office, home, and on the go with my iphone) day after day. It's important to take a break from it once in a while to refresh your mind, body and soul.

 

I'm sick of caring about PR and monetization. I still learn so much every day and am amazed at the wealth of information available. But, sometimes, I have to get up because my head is spinning from ideas. My 'irons in the fire' for projects is completely overwhelming. That is my main problem. Focus. The net is this huge defocusing tool that I have to fight all the time. That's my issue!

it s a big part of some peoples lives.

 

i still enjoy interesting content, despite being a webmaster, internet is a way of living, it has content that you can use for daily life purposes, news, entertainment.. being a webmaster should not stop you from enjoying life and the internet. Cameramen, actors, screenswriters, directors can still enjoy movies without thinking about how every scene of a movie was filmed, i think what you need is a 21 days vacation somewhere where there is no grasp of civilization (some tribe in africa ?) then you will surely miss your friend google.

Once u use the internet to earn money it becomes hard to do the things which normal people do on the net.. surf/ play and enjoy whereas we are busy with selling or working on things online

Solutions: Play Games, Spend time with your friends & family, & Get a Girl Friend.

 

I am starting to become like that, but I have found myself spending less time online lately.
