Adsense earnings still $0 :(

I recently created a blog which provides tips/advice on adsense and affiliate programs. I realise that since it's so new, it needs a lot longer time wise to build up traffic etc. But I get 0 visitors and $0 earnings...

How can I get visitors to my site? I need some traffic because people talk about week old blogs earning at least something. Even if I got one click, I'd feel a bit better but with 0 views and $0 daily I must be doing something wrong surely?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hi Sam,

Submit your website to reddit.com...or even post comments on blogs that are related to your site.

There are a zillion sites like yours. It doesn't look like it has any original content, just reprints of articles found elsewhere. It also looks like you aren't giving them a live backlink, which I believe violates their TOS. Search engines aren't fond of duplicate content sites, and quite frankly, you need to offer something that hasn't been duplicated a thousand times before if you ever expect to make any real money. Read the articles that you have posted - it can take a year to establish a site, and expecting to make money immediately is a huge mistake. I don't even put up adsense on a site for at least 6 months, and only then if it is generating good traffic. Adsense is not a get rich quick scheme.

Submit your post to social bookmarkings. I use onlywire to submit to the most popular ones at the same time. Once you submit your blog it will be visible so you need to have something unique to offer to viewers so they can link to your blog. I suggest you use images to do that.

    Good luck

Well it just seems that you are maintaining a blog just to earn some quick cash overnight. Let me tell you that Adsense works best when you provide some original content in your blog because readers cant find them anywhere else. Just hand on and work a bit on your blog and then you can get a few visitors regularly.

    Avoid duplication of content
If there are duplicate content, even if you have a little bit of income, there will not be greater growth.

Really? Before my blog reached a week old, i decided to put up adsense and i got a few clicks.

    one even got $1.

I decided to take adsense down because i found out that I don't have tax forms to withdraw the adsense moneys.

instead, i'm gonna build popularity and traffic, and then sell ad spaces for $$ a month.

as for your blog, the layout isn't very attractive. try a different niche.

Do social bookmarking and blog commenting. Update your blog regularly with unique and quality content. Slowly traffic will start building. Then do link exchange and include your blog link in signature here and other such forums. :)

The priority for you is to buid backlinks to your site. Forum signs, social network and blog commenting can do bring your traffic. Of course building up traffic need a lot of hard work and time. Nevertheless, the content is the king. Good and hot topics always help.
