I'm still realtively new to the internet marketing world. I've had some sucess but I realize that I don't have the time to spend on the grunt work required for SEO. This means to be succuesful in the long term I need to look to outsourcing. I was wondering what most people did in my situation. Do you outsource tasks like blog commenting, forum posting, articles ect. or do you go for all in one seo specialists? Any information would be great.
outsourcing depends on your need and goal. if you are looking for any specific service, you can just buy that specific service form some service provider. you can find lot of people offering many different services under Buy/Sale/Trade section of this forum. if you have bigger goal and require a total diversified package, then you will need to go with some SEO company who can pretty much do all
Outsourcing certain tasks is definitely a good idea. You could go with an all-in-one seo specialist, but that is usually the more expensive route. I'm in a similar situation as you and I'm gradually trying to find people to outsource things to. I have tested the waters with outsourcing and I haven't had much luck finding any good link builders. I have been outsourcing all of my writing projects to freelance writers through elance.com Writing assignments are an ideal project to outsource. If you find any good link builders, send them my way
I am against paying anyone to do SEO, here is why. If you can do the following you can do SEO. Write Content Building Back Links Change Meta Tags Then you can do SEO.
metafever, its not necessarily a matter of being capable of doing all that. Many people face the issue of just fitting all of that into their schedule, especially when they have multiple websites. In a competitive niche, it is a lot of work to build and maintain rankings. Without a little bit of help, it can be an overwhelming job. If I only had one website I could manage to do everything myself, but this is just not possible if you have aspirations of making several websites succeed.
Amazingly, the most important issue that needs to be done, quality link building, has not been mentioned..... I guess that says something .......
Well if you know seo outsourcing the hard working time is the best choice but it's hard to find serious people and hard working ones ... Regards
I need some link builders. If you find some - send them my way. I may go to ODesk.com to find some - you can get them cheap - but they are usually lousy.
When I started out, I paid people for SEO and had some not-so-stellar experiences. Then, I did it myself and learned how to get it done... And now, I offer SEO services to companies. Not going to spam here or anything - but if you're interested, you can check out my signature. I wouldn't say SEO is necessarily easy, nor would I say it's hard... the difficulty factor depends on the keywords you're going after and the niches you're in.
The advantage for outsourcing seo is saving your time and energy so you can focus on the priority things. But the disadvantage is that you can not control the quality of the project. It seems that outsourcing seo is a must with your business grow. It is not a bad idea to do so. The key is to find the right person.
An important thing to learn is to have your website in shape to generate leads before trying to market your services. I visited your sites and not one is related to SEO services except one in blue that had only navigation bars and no content.
You can do SEO for yourself if you only manage one blog / website. But I am sure that people who are here on DP have at least 10 - 20 websites to manage at a time. Why do the tedious task of submitting to directories, social bookmarking and other linkbuilding activities if you can outsource it to someone who can do the job for less than $5?
That pretty much sums up the outsourcing market. You get what you pay for....there is a reason Rand over at SEOmoz gets $1,000 an hour in consulting fees and there is a reason SEO's on this forum charge $2-$10 an hour.
Thanks for the great information. I'm still torn but I think it seems to find an SEO specialist that you can trust if you don't want to do it yourself. I'm still debating but thinking about giving it a try for the full boat. I also understand that a lot of people do SEO themselves. That's great but I don't see that as the path for me for at least many of the tasks.
A lot of people do everything on their own, I don't think it's the best use of their time. Most people who want to scale their business will use outsourcing partners to help them achieve results.
The question that needs to be asked is: of those doing it for themselves how many are successful? Let's face it, if you do your own SEO and double your sales in a year that is good right? But what if you spent $5k-$10k on a good SEO and increased your sales by 20 times? I guess you would be doing better....
May be a few people do seo by themselves but it is not very safe for the website. Many dont know about the reasons for considering a link as spam and why a website is being ignored by the search engines. So I prefer outsourcing SEO work to an SEO company where professional SEO experts do their job for you.
We recently outsourced seo to a reputable company for one of our sites simply to save time. We ended up bringing it back in house within 2 months.
lol we're in the same situation, if we could find anyone who would build links the way we need, at one fifth of our time costs we would have more work for them than they knew what to do with. you just cant get the staff.
