$1000 single-word domain for sale - proceeds to the Van Fund

    The domain:
    coals.org

This domain has been appraised and valued by Sedo.com at 860 Euros = $1088 - the report is available to the eventual buyer.

Please don't ask me for a 'curiousity copy' during the sale, thanks.

The reason for sale - to raise funds for Michael's Van Fund, which seems to have ground to a temporary standstill. This must be a crushing disappointment to Michael after his hopes were raised and appeared to be becoming a reality.

I kinda thought that we at DP had enough of a member base with big hearts who wouldn't stop until the guy had reached his $50k mark, the necessary amount to bag the van (and that's with a massive $40k discount from the suppliers!)

However, the fund is currently languishing at just $16k after a phenomenal start that saw the fund increase by a healthy $1k per day. It would be nice to kickstart the fund to it's previous daily levels.

I'm willing to put this $1000 domain for sale with all proceeds going to the Van fund.

    Domain is reg'd at GoDaddy.

    There is a reserve.

    BIN price is $950.00

Starting price is $500 (this does not meet reserve)

    Bring it on, guys.

    :)

Perhaps the price is a little ambitious since it doesn't leave much room for a profit?

Ok, let's make the BIN $750 and starting bid $250 ;)

Reserve is in place but reduced to reflect the changes above.

    :)

    Thanks VS.

Looks like there are no takers. Oh well.

I'll let this offer run for another 24 hours - if no offers are received, I'll reluctantly withdraw the sale.

I'll also donate ProMarketing.org to the eventual buyer if that helps get a sale.

There is no backlink and no indexed pages. Why is the price too much?

    I didn't see that before bidding ;)

The price is based on an independent evaluation of the domain, coals.org, by Sedo.com and reflects its uniqueness and desirability. Without backlinks and undeveloped, the domain is valued at over $1000. With backlinks / developed it would be worth substantially more ;)

An offer of $300 has been placed via PM, however it does not meet reserve.

    Nice one Mark. :)
