Just a simple question, I am getting quite a few hits to my website per day, but on adsense it says I am getting less than what my stats say.

any help would be nice. thanks :)

1st every stat program will never match the other

a hit is just any piece of info taken from you server-- say a pic. so if you have 20 pics on page thats 20 hits right there.

UV unique visitor is what you want. thats the user counted one time
impressions is how many page views regardless of UV

just pm me if you have more questionse

Adsense doesn't always show the most uptodate hits/impressions for the current day. Usually i have to wait until the next day before adsense shows me the total impressions for the previous day.

Also it depends on what type of users your website attracts. If they are hi tech extremely knowlegable computer users, then most likely they will be using some sort of ad blockers that will prevent adsense from even showing. This will lower the number of impressions shown on your adsense account and will differ greatly from what your webstats show you.

It's a good thing for us that most web users don't use ad blockers.

Better use google analytics since none of the traffic status tool provide the same data. Accept it or leave adsense

may be the time of visitor visit and leave your page very fast, even adsense ads published.
so no ads no impression counted.

You can use the Google analytics and that would give a more reasonable stats.

This is correct. Hits are useless info.

Also, I suggest you use google analytic. It shows more detail info like page views, unique page views, page impressions and many other useful data.

Thanks, I just have one more question, how can I tell if anyone else is using my adsense code on another website? because I get random page impressions sometimes from other places, but I assume it is from here? but would it be view source page to see? thanks.
