You have to wait the new visit of google ;)

It takes less than one hour up to a month+ according to your site importance.

Yep just wait until it re-crawls that exact page, perhaps use the revised meta tag? Not sure if it will help but that's it's purpose(although, even then Google would still need to go back to the page to see that)

I had a problem where a clients site was temporarily hosted on a subdomain under me while it was built, then moved to their own domain and they kept whining of the results in google, they just wouldn't seem to grasp the concept that it was going to be sorted once google updates those pages lol

Give it some more time... Before you know it, it will be indexed.

one way I've used to speed up things, is to social bookmark it or post it on a forum

It'll show up.. I re-built a site I made for a friend when it was 2 years old and MAN the wait for the changes to show up seemed to take forever (around 30 days, I believe).. you might try re-submitting your sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools in case you haven't already.

Other than that, the folks here are right ya just gotta wait a lil bit.. :)

It takes from 15 minutes to a week before Google index your new pages. It depends history on how frequently you update your website. One tips to make your site crawl much faster is to create a new post and publish them in social bookmark such as Digg, Facebook and more. :)

You got to give it time, remember the bot crawls millions of websites daily so it may take a couple of weeks to get to you if you do not have a really high rank.

You first ping your site & than wait for 1 or 2 days than your site listing will be changed.

Wait for the index to get re-cached, unless you have quite a few backlinks and dynamic content Google won't check your pages every day.

You answered your own question. Its going to take a lot longer then 2 days for google to update its records for your site. For a new site, your looking at probably at least 2 weeks before the changes are reflected in google.

If you have an older, mature site, that you are also submitting a site map on, the changes might get recorded a lot faster. But if this is a new site (less then 6 months old), you can expect 1, 2, 3 or even 4 weeks before the changes are recorded.
