Question about forum signitures??

I was just curious on how many forum posts with your website in the signiture until there is a change in the serps? Should it be in the hundreds or thousands. Right now I am pushing a thousand with all the forums I particpate in I was just curious on your guys experiance with forum signitures.

I have seen that 20-30 links bring Google 1st page for some keywords. But its totally depend on competition.

It all depends on the threads PR, install the google toolbar and if the front page of the thread has a pr of at least 1 post on it, usually the front page is the only one with pr, but the following pages can have some too.

 

You need to build inbound links from a multitude of sources.

A lot of it depends on the "quality" of the forum you are posting in. Is the forum full of spam, or does it have original content, how long has the forum been online, what is the page rank of the forum, is the forum submitting a site map to google, does the forum sell links that pass page rank,,,,,,

If you want to make sure your getting the most out of your forum signature, make sure the site has been online for at least 1 year. But the longer the site has been online the better.

Do you realize what your saying? Take a look at digital point forums, it has 10.8 million post and 1.2 million threads. Your going to look through 1.2 million threads to find one with page rank?

In other words, what your saying - you should only have a link on a page that has PR. That is not how it works. If someone post a link to your site in a forum thread that does not have PR, are you going to ask them to remove the link? Nope, you will be glad that someone posted a link to your site.

Its nice to get a link from a page that has PR, but its not required. PR is just one little factor in the big picture.

 

PR is definitely not everything.

The biggest bonus especially with forum signatures is actual traffic!

 

It depends on the keyword, if you are going for a competitive keyword then signatures won't help at all, everybody else will have similar signatures. For a long tail keyword a few posts could do it.

 

Forum signature works if you are not a spammer.It works for the high page rank forums.So try your forum signatures in high page rank forums.

 

I am in favor of kev's opinion. The high page rank forums are very friendly with signature. So you should put your forum signatures in the high PR forums.

 

On page PR is very different from site wide PR... I think posting in high pr threads or page helps in ranking

 

I've noticed from my google webmaster account that google has recognized some of the link sin my signature but not others, which is unsual i would have thought it would be one to one, go figure

this really depends... i think sometimes with a really good link you can get good pr right away, but sometimes it takes thousands of links to do the trick..

 

through forum Signature you can generates lots of Visitors to your site for this You Must have to Be active on forum & keep posting

 

you have to get links from many domains, if all your links come from same forum your serp effect is very small

 

depend on your competition,,depend on the pr page of the forum,,depend on how much the post of the signature,,and,,be aware,,a lot of backlink at once,will make google give you punishment..,
