how to invite member to new forum?

hi folk, i have a CG community website, veegraph.com, and built a forum in it. But the member to small, even after i promote it in few mailing list. Anyone have suggestion how to increase member to a forum.

Register to as many CG forums as you can, add a signature with links to your forums. Go social marketing, twitter, facebook, myspace, etc.

 

One thing if it is in the sub pages of your website make sure it is very easy to get to from your home page. The hardest part about advertsing for a forum is no one wants to participate in a new forum, but once it get's going you will not have any problems. I am actually having the same problem with my make money forum.

 

Get register directories and do social networking to get more traffic.

 

have you guy tried to register with diffrent name/user, and make some conversation beetwen your 'alter ego'..

 

There are "introduce your forum" section in some forums. Add your forum o those forums. You will get good traffic and members.

continue to promote your forum site....give something free, but first they need to register into your forum...
make sure your forum is worth to join....

 

Try targeting the users that will sure be interested with the discussion in your forum. Make a research about some existing communities and blogger's community to directly invite them to join to your forum. Provide a link signature feature so bloggers might get interested to post.

Try searching for your members at blogcatalog or mybloglog.

 

That is right. First, make it sure that your forum is worth to join. You must need to provide it with relevant category that are interesting to discuss with. You may also conduct a contest where in you'll be giving away some exciting prizes for those members who can refer more new forum posters to register and join in your forum.
