TLD doesn't have any impact in terms of SEO IMHO, having target keywords in domain could help though

Definitely no impact. So I could say that either of the two will be good. Just as long as you work hard on them, it doesn't really matter if it's a .org or .net.

Although there should be no difference, I would go with the .net.

I would go for the .net given the choice, but would have no problem running with .org. It is the perceived value of having a .com, .net etc rather then some of the newer domains, as far as SEO goes I have had success with all of them as on and off page optimization is going to get you on the front page, not the domain name itself. If you are able to get keyword(s) of yours in your domain name, do it, I know Yahoo seems to place more emphasis on domain name then Google seems to.

I'm prefer dot net if dot com not available. There is no impact but regular people found dot com is the TLD for internet compare to others TLD. So grab any dot com compare to other TLD.

I would say there wont be any impact of the domain extension for SEO.. all it depends on link building practices and onsite SEO

There is no impact based on the TLD - but I prefer .org over .net since most of my highest ranking sites are .org when compared to .net.

.net = network .org = organization it depends on which your website falls into. Both are better than .com = commercial, but neither hold the weight of .edu = education. From my experience between .net and .org I would choose the latter.
