    There is nothing like PAGERANK in Yahoo, they just have backlinks like item,

    Rather than coming with the same technique[Page Rank], it will be better if Yahoo come up with some other new techniques. Because when ever we hear of Pr 'Google' only will come to mind, so it will be of no use coming up with the same technology. By bringing some other technology[with the same effect of PR] only they can have a chance of overcoming Google.:)

    Agree, I am surprised why Yahoo is not paying attention for development of their business. They marketing program is only limited for US people only. Still running old times. :D

    Yahoo need to do a lot and spend a lot to catch Google. Google is far ahead now.

    Yahoo and MSN each have different criteria on how they rank your website.
    Yahoo seems to focus a lot on inbound link to your site, where MSN seems more focused on anchor text in your links.

    So if we take care of both while posting links at outside sites then we can get better rank in all search engines easily. For example if I am posting my site link at any other site regarding Google Adsense then posting my site url EbooksParadize like this will not be good. It means I need to post my link like Google AdSense

    So link is same but there is difference in anchor text. Am I right?

    PAGERANK is patented algorithm for ranking website from google named arfter larry page one of the co founders of google. Yahoo does not have any kind of ranking metrics. Yahoo ranks sites based on the on page seo factors while google considers votes from other sites (In links) as well as on page seo factors + latent semantic indexing etc etc etc(What else google alone knows).

    You can use yahoo's site explorer to check links to your site. Yahoo site explorer is a better way of finding who links to you . Much better than google webmaster tools I must say or using the SITE:yoursite.com feture in google

    I am happy with Yahoo at least on this one as it has not entertained making people go crazy with their site ranks, instead of focusing on just serps.

    PR has been greatly mis-used with lots of buying and selling of links just for PR juice and many sites exist, purely just to do that! :(

    I'm surprised nobody picked up on this, I most be the oldest Webmaster in here :)

    Yahoo used to have a Pagerank (although it wasn't called pagerank) but stopped updating it about two years or so ago. Somebody else who knows fill in the rest. They used to have a toolbar for it too I believe.
