    hello
    i have planned to buy a .in domain.

    i know that this will help me in getting my visitors from india.

    but,will this domain be listed in search engines like google.co.uk and google.com etc?:confused:

    Yes,all the domain extension will be listed at google search.
    But .in domain will get better SERP if its searched within India.

    it will be listed in all of Google's listings.

    .in domains are considered "Indian" domains....even if the domain is owned/hosted by non-Indian entity.

    it will do best in google.co.in when "pages from india" is selected.

    this is obvious as non-Indian pages will be eliminated when "pages from india" is selected..

    it will even show up in google.co.in even when "pages from india" is not selected.

    it will even show up in google.com, but SERP's will be usually lower compared to google.co.in.

    In some cases, your google.com SERP's may be higher compared to google.co.in.

    This is because TLD is not the only factor that decides SERP's.

    yes it'll be listed in google.co.uk also but obviously uk sites will be given preference over in sites

    Of course they will be listed in google.co.uk and google.com etc .One thing the SERP will vary with geography and preference.

    actually,my site is going to target those who speak tamil language...

    75% are from india and the rest live in different parts of the world....
