Only submit to two categories: Topical and Regional if it applies to the site according to the guidelines. Other than that it is up to editors to deep link a site. It usually only happens on sites that have very unique information such as news or educational sites and URLs that host other sites which you see in the list mentioned above. Do not submit subdomains, mirrors, or affiliate sites. :)

Unless you have an illegal porn site which can be mirror and affiliate and in the same time get hundreds of links. ;)

If you look through some of the nastier adult categories, it's easy to find sites with mulitple listings in the same sub-category as well as those that you know are associated by the identical affiliate ID number on the "different" sites.

Only if they are teen sites without 2257 information or prostitution sites...gworld seems to stay away from everything else.

They don't seem to mind if you have multiple products to submit to more than 1.

But I think you want strong content to support it.

Sid, would you like to explain why are you so interested in listing illegal porn sites that can involve minors in porn industry. Oh I forgot that you work day and night as editor to list as many illegal porn sites as possible in order to make a better world. It is funny that three DMOZ editors need to post one after another in order to defend the "norm" in adult section which encourages listing of illegal sites and extreme porn such as rape, torture and bestiality. It seems corruption is thriving very well in fertile soil of DMOZ adult. ;)

I think a better question would be why you have once again gone completely off topic and hijacked yet another thread so that you can spread your propaganda against dmoz because you're angry at them for not listing YOUR affiliate ladden, non-2257 compliant, teen porn and prostitution sites... It's sad that the forum mods don't give you warnings for this...

Back on topic though. what jjwill said is correct. Most sites should only be listed twice at most - once in topical and once in regional, although some types of sites (such as movie review sites, game review sites, encyclopedias, and porn sites) are allowed more.

    Don't forget World.....

If your site offers content in multiple languages, you can submit to the corresponding World category/categories.

That is what I said also, most sites with exception of illegal porn sites that can have minors as models or are about torture, rape or bestiality will be listed twice but you and your fellow editors in adult will make sure that extreme porn sites will have hundreds of links for the benefit of humanity.

As I said before: corruption is thriving very well in fertile soil of DMOZ adult.

The thread is about the number of listings a site can have, so my posting is totally relevant but I am not really surprised that DMOZ management doesn't do anything about DMOZ adult situation since this mess could not exist from beginning and in so many years without their approval.

Use the little triangle icon to alert a moderator and use the little scales icon to lower gworld's reputation for such boorish behavior.

You know, guys, if you stopped responding to gworld when he trys to hijack a thread and steer it towards porn, he would be way less successful at doing so. Just a little lesson in common sense...back to the topic at hand:

In my opinion, you're lucky to get one listing in DMOZ, let alone two, so I woud leave well enough alone. :)

Very true. And from my testing, Google only seems to count one link from a domain anyway.

Hope it isn't or all the work I've invested at Wikipedia in adding deep links to DMOZ categories and my site is pretty much pointless.

How did I hijack this thread?

The SUBJECT of this thread is about HOW MANY listing a site can have in DMOZ. A DMOZ editor posted that sites can have only 2 listings which was a LIE.
I posted that it was not true and a porn site can have hundreds of links.

I ask again, how did I hijack this thread?
