Is 80 cents in the first 2 days bad?

My site has been up for about 2 and a half days but still not indexed whatsoever on google, yahoo or any other search engine.

I posted the link to various xbox forums as thats the type of site it is.

Is 80 cents from adsense decent on the first two or three days? What steps should i take to gain more links and more traffic. Also, how much will simply being indexed help? Will it matter if i'm on page 24 for "xbox softmods"?

 

Personally I think it's great, but it will not go up by itself so you have to keep writing content.

Just being indexed won't cut it, try to get a lot of relevant backlinks (do some link exchange with xbox sites). Being on page 24 won't translate into a lot of traffic since most people only look at the first three pages of results.

 

Give it time. Make sure you get your site setup w/ strong keywords, etc. Traffic comes with advertising and time, and it takes time to get indexed by search engines. Good luck.

0,8$ is not bad for the first two days!

 

I have only had adsense for 2 days and I am getting some really good PPC. Every click has been over 30 cents for my tip site. Now If I can just get over 100 visitors/day I will make some real money.

I started with 0 in my first three months, but that was cause i only put it on one site and didnt looked at it ever

anyway, 80 cents is nice, just aim for the $1 a day in the beginning and then the rest will come eventually.

 

I have to say, you've already started out focusing on the wrong thing. I wouldn't even bother checking my stats for weeks. Just keep adding your content, do your marketing, etc. Obsessing over your daily earnings when your site is still wet behind the ears is unproductive. Next thing you'll be making a thread asking if this-number-of-clicks is normal/great/bad, etc. Make a URL channel for your site and leave it alone. You can check it every day at the end of the day if you must, but don't waste your time pontificating about 80-cents.

Any amount of money in the first two days is great - but it doesn't mean anything. Getting more traffic should be all you care about right now.

That's really good. It's taken me over two weeks to surpass a dollar. So coming from my standpoint, I'd consider that really good.

 

It is not really encouriging to look at a few cents the whole day while browsing around for info or writing content i must say. I'm with jackburton on this one, just check it once a day.

Your 80 cents only proves one thing - that your Adsense account is working. Beyond that, I don't think you can draw any other conclusions. Now, if your 80 cents grows to 80 dollars as a result of things that you're doing to improve content and traffic, that's something to get excited about.

That it is possible to earn $80, $800 or $8000 in adsense earnings, as long as you continue to do what you are doing. Multiply that effort if possible, effects will multiply too..

30 cents a click is GREAT!!! I am getting an average of over 2 cents per click!
