I have noticed that it takes much longer time for my squidoo pages to be indexed by Google, even if i ping them. Most of my other pages get indeed very fast, but i seem to have a problem with squidoo lenses. What about you guys? is it a general problem? Any tips to get your squidoo page quickly indexed by Google?
The problem is likely that squidoo is expanding very quickly. So your lens gets pushed more clicks away from squidoo's homepage quicker. For a lens to do well, you really do need to some external marketing such as social bookmarking, blog commenting, squidoo directory links, etc. You can also cross link from your older squidoo lenses.
Squidoo pages get indexed as they get found. So by interlinking your Squidoo pages you can get them index quicker or by linking to them from external website. Personally I usually expect about a week to get them indexed.
how long it takes depends on what you do. if you ping, submit the feed to few top rss directories, and do some bookmarking on top bookmarking sites, you should be indexed in no time
i have a blog that is on blogspot and it is still not indexed after about a week and a half. Does anyone have any tips that i could do? does it take longer for a blogger blog to get indexed then lens pages and hubs?
bookmark a few times then post on su and share with friends and you will be indexed in minutes another way is to post on digg and get a few votes and you will be indexed in minutes also
If your squidoo lens is still failed been index after going thru all method been mention earlier, just exchange link with few lens that already been indexed.
that's a great question and even better responses; I think I will try doing external promotions for my squidoo lens and see whether that helps with the indexing.
you can add bookmarking add on button on your squidoo and submit in SB sites like digg, it will cache within 1-2 hours.
yes.. if you link your lens to other websites which are indexed daily.. you lens will also indexed soon..
