    Just install Wp DB Backup plugin and take backup automatically (daily,weekly,monthly) whenever you want at your desktop or through email.

    You can try to export content file through admin panel & take the theme backup through ftp.

    If you are on a Cpanel host and all you want to do is backup your database. Click on Backups and select the file you want to back up. It's really that simple.
