Can someone please tell me how my site looks in 1024×768 resolution?

I am wondering if my blog looks alright in 1024×768 res or if someone with a smaller monitor than mine would have to do some dreaded horizontal scrolling. Its hard for me to tell cause I have a 22 inch monitor and when I was making my blog I was using my normal resolution of 1680x1050. Can someone just take a quick look and tell me if it is appearing OK. The blog is http://blackjackbettingstrategies.blogspot.com/

    Thanks.

You should definitely check out browsershots.org, a free service that will render and screenshot any resolution in any browser for you, so you don't have to rely on other people to communicate to you when your site starts looking sloppy. It helps ALOT!

thank you very much for taking the time to do this. I guess I got very lucky because the whole time I was trying to make the blog look good just on my own monitor, but it seemed to work out OK anyways. Thank god, it would have been a pain in the ass to change everything.

Um, why are you wasting so much space? Your monitor is large enough to have multiple apps* open and visible as long as you don't run them maximized.

If you want to see how things look in smaller monitors, reduce the size of the browser. Both Opera and Firefox will even tell you what size they're at.

    cheers,

    gary

    * I have a 24" monitor. Emacs, xterm and Firefox3 are tiled on top. A vista instance with IE7, Opera9.64, Firefox3, and Safari3.5, and another Vista with IE8, Opera10, Safari4, and Firefox3.5 are stacked behind. Each Vista has the four browsers tiled for side by side comparisons.

Martman, ever since I switched to a set of 1920x1200 monitors to do my work, I am using a great Mozilla Add-On that lets you choose the size of your browser (in pixels, of course), so you can quickly check your website's appearance at all resolutions. You can even add custom resolutions to play around.

Since I'm typing this from my cell, I can't give you a link, but just search the collection of Add-Ons and you'll easily find it.

Update: I am back at home now and I have found the Add-On for you, it's called "Yet Another Window Resizer", current version is 1.21.

Haha, nhc1897, turns out you are right ... I am using all sorts of Add-Ons (for instance Web Developer, FireBug, HttpFox, NoDoFollow, Yet Another Window Resizer, ...) and it never occured to me to look for the window resizer inside Web Developer's set of tools.

Well, anyhow, we helped martman and that's what counts. ;)
