It all depends... If your SEO is in a 3rd world country they will work for peanuts. If they are not, they cost more. There are likely people here that will work for $1/hr... I get $125/hr. Just depends on the economic conditions where they live and their level of expertise.

And the number of hours depends on the job... how screwed up the site is, how many pages you're dealing with, whether you will make the changes or their developers will make the changes, etc.

Hours depends like Canonical said on how big the site is, what the site looks like and if you will be making the changes.

I myself charge 50-75$ an hour to do SEO work for someone.

There is no need for charging blatantly high even if you're a firm with a NAME. There are many companies with moderate, returning clientele with affordable costs. I charge on monthly basis which becomes affordable for my clients. I charge around $1500-$4000 a month (depending upon size of the website, geo target, number of keywords and more). This system works for me as I'm good to go with 15+ projects.

It depends on the target output or how many keywords are being targeted. I would say 50-60$ per hour would be a decent pay.

It really depends on who you are hiring and what you want him to do. Just remember expensive doesn't mean quality just like cheap could easily mean lack of quality.

doing seo is not measureable on how much time you spent on it, but its on the quality work you did and the positive outcome you created to your website.

we can say anything in particular. It all depends on the states where you will work for.And we cant say the particular timing to do SEO because it is a long term process and ever-lasting process and it takes a lit bit time to appear in the search engine results and it is known as organic listings.

No one can judge rate / hr for any type of work. It can only be showed after analyzing the work load, expertise of both client and expert, economical factor, country factor. There are number of factors that are being count before demanding rate/ hr.
