Part of me thinks more girls should think like that - there are so many that hook up with losers when they have good enough jobs and it's only after they do start a family and drop down to one (or no) income that they realise their huge mistake! I never get the girls who choose guys with 100+ convictions and then are surprised when their kids end up dead or recruited. Honestly - what did they think would happen?

I am of the same opinion as Ms Stauss, but not for the same reasons. My recent return to supposed 'higher learning' at university has been a bit of a disappointment; courses and lecturers are incredibly disorganised, with one tutor saying "you don't need to buy a book, it's all available online". Hopefully Lynzee's piece was meant to be humorous and tongue in cheek...hopefully. At least it wasn't totally the other direction with "love will conquer all." Maybe college isn't necessary but for those girls only who have married rich guys. Not all guys are rich and there are girls who are richer than guys. I think no matter what your status is, college is very necessary nowadays.
