    Hi guys

I am new in SEO world  hope you help me out :). In the google tool there is a provision for uploading the XML site map and the Web Site Map . Which would be the best option for the site's traffic improvement .

    Hi,

I would suggest XML sitemap as this is the standard one and will get crawled much much faster than web sitemap.

    Thanks,

    Dominic

yes, and moreover, xml gets update automatically, so even if you have just made a post, google will know it instantly ( that is why sometimes you see , 20hours ago in search results)

Yep. It's easy for them to read it. Try to submit your html sitemap together with your xml sitemap on the Webmasters tool and you will see most of the times that your HTML sitemap returns errors as the spider has problems crawling it.

well, you can even given the link of a sitemap inside the sitemap. Google has mentioned proper guidelines for creating a sitemap and they prefer XML sitemaps and moreover in XML sitemap you can mention the priority etc for the pages which helps the google and other search engines while navigating your site.

I use both html is purposely for users and xml for spiders. Yet they crawl both very thoroughly. Why not use both then?
