Press Release companies?

I have came across many press release websites that will submit your release to all the search engines. Does anyone have experience with any specific company that they would recommend?

    Thanks!

PRlog is definitely the best one.

It's just like ezinearticles...ezine is the best article directory while Prlog is the best press release directory :)

Thanks for the links guys... i was looking for these as well.

@seosapien - prweb.com says $80 for standard viability.. isn't that too much for one Press Release ?

The one we use and recommend is the "SEO Visibility" it is $200. It sounds like a lot but your PR will be featured in thousands of websites and it will stay there for years. We have released PR for other sites we own years ago that still provide clicks every month.

Like everything else in this world you get what you pay for. The few cheaper options we have used in the past provided much less traffic and links in the long run.

Thats something really interesting. I made a search for PRweb reviews and i am really reading that publishing a PR at prweb is really worth the money.

Do you right your own PR's or have them written. Any tips would be highly appreciated.

We have copywriters that write our articles, PRs, etc

The all idea behind a PR release if for it to be picked up and draw the attention of the media, so whenever you write a PR make sure it is on a subject that would look appealing to a journalist and at the same time will be accepted by the PR distribution editors. This is really complicated and it won't happen 99% of times unless you already are a big brand, but if it does happen it will beat any other marketing effort you have previously made.

Just to give you an example SEOmoz is the company they are today (apart from being great SEOs) thanks to the media coverage and their outstanding ability in creating viral content.

Think of current events: recession, swine flu, Guantanamo, etc. Read which new companies/ideas/concepts are covered by the media and try to understand how they got noticed.

I'll throw in another vote for http://www.prweb.com/ - the prices seem quite high at first glance but they do a really excellent job.
